SAN JOSE, Calif. - Last time out, the San Jose Sharks took 57 shots and still lost in overtime. Two nights later, they scored four times in the first period of a blowout win over Calgary.

Milan Michalek and Pavelski scored two goals apiece, and the Sharks' defence corps set a franchise record with nine assists in a 6-1 victory over the Flames on Thursday night.

There are 12 games on the schedule March 3 and only two March 4. The league and NHL Players' Association agreed on the change.
