STEP 1

DOWNLOADING FLIP4MAC

1. Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet.

2. If you haven't already installed QuickTime on your computer, please click on the following link for directions: http://wings.buffalo.edu/computing/ Documentation/mac/quicktime.html

3. If you are not directed to the Windows Media Components for QuickTime Site, please click on the following URL:

4. Click Download.

5. Click Save File.

6. Press Command (Apple) j to view the Firefox Downloads window. Wait for the Download to complete, then click Open next to the download entry for Flip4Mac to begin the installation process.

STEP 2

INSTALLING FLIP4MAC

1. The packaged installation file for Flip4Mac will mount to temporary file space in the Finder. This file space should open automatically. Drag the file named Flip4Mac WMV.mpkg from the mount to your Desktop. You may now click the eject symbol to the right of the mount space to free the temporary resources the installer was using.

2. Double-click on the file named Flip4Mac WMV.pkg on your desktop to begin the setup program.

3. When the Installer window appears, click Continue.

4. Read the Important Information on the following screen and click Continue.

5. Read the Software License Agreement, and click Continue. When this window pops up again, click Agree.

6. Click Continue on the Select a Destination screen.

7. On the next screen, click Install.

8. If your computer asks you for authentication, enter your username and password.

9. Please wait while the installer processes the necessary files.

10. In the folder labeled Flip4Mac on your desktop, double-click WMV Player.

11. QuickTime will open and you can now play Windows Media files through QuickTime.

STEP 3

WATCHING STREAMS IN FULL SCREEN

Once you complete the installation instructions above you may be interested in full-screen playback.

1) Enter the Flip4Mac WMV Plug-in settings in the System Preferences (or by right clicking on an already playing Hockeystream).

2) On the Browser tab check Launch QuickTime Player and close the preferences.

3) Restart your browser.

4) Navigate to a hockeystream broadcast, it should run QuickTime player instead of playing in the browser.

5) Choose either View -> Enter Full Screen or hit Command + F

6) Enjoy!
