Thoughts on the Red Wings, so far.
Hey Hockeystreams.com, I always wander past the forums and they are bare, so I figured I'd try to make this place home and start the first topic.

So far this season the Wings seem much more offensively potent, which was definitely expected with the addition of Hossa and the further development of players like Franzen. However, the team has been dreadful both defensively and in goal through 9 games this season. Their once stingy defense has given up far more turnovers and stemming mostly from that and shaky goaltending to start the season, have given up far more goals also.

Because the team hasn't changed much at all from last season, this poses a few questions. Is McLellan's exit and replacement with obviously inferior McCrimmon as assistant coach whats causing the defensive lapses and noticeable unorganized play? Is it time to part with Lebda or Lilja and give Johnathan Ericsson a shot if for nothing else than to lose a piece that gonna go eventually and fast track a player destined for the roster? Is this the makings of a season like 2005-2006, which Bab****cock describes as

There's no limit on characters, or atleast shouldn't be. and bab****cock being censored is pretty funny. I'll get them to fix that

Drop the puck already!! i am so excited about this years Wings. Z & Dats togeather again, it doesn't get any better than that. I am expecting a breakout year from Flip and I love the idea of Modo centering the 3rd line. Having Huds back. Not to mention the 3 wrecking balls we have on the 4th with Helm, Abby & Eaves. Our D looks great with Lids, Raffy, Kroner, and Stewie. I I am hoping that Salei adds some toughness. I think big E will be ok now that Lebda is gone.

    I can't wait!!
